EXCERPTS FROM TAPES, FOR STUDY, PRACTICE, AND MEDITATION

    SUNDAY, JUNE 4  - at THE INN OF CHICAGO - 11:00 A.M.

JOEL S. GOLDSMITH: THE 1963 LONDON WORK
“Impersonalizing God and Error,’” Tape 8, Side 1

A student wrote me that they were having a problem of lack, and would I do some work for supply. My answer was the problem isn’t
really lack. If you would only open your eyes, you would realize that there is just as much grass in the gardens as there ever was,
just as many trees, just as much fruit, just as many cattle, just as many fish, just as many birds, just as many diamonds in the
earth; just as much gold, platinum, just as many pearls in the sea. So where do you find this lack? The problem can’t be lack. The
world is full of abundance. Ah, personalizing: “I haven’t got it.” As long as you personalize  that way and set up a selfhood separate
and apart from God, you won’t have it. But when you realize, “The earth is the Lord’s and the fulness thereof,” and “Son, all that I
have is thine.” Or, “Go up on the mountaintop and look out, and the earth, as far as your eyes can see it, give I unto thee.” Do you
hear that word I again? I. And where have you been looking for supply? Outside?

Surely, personalizing, instead of realizing supply is of I. It’s embodied in I. “Son, all that I have is thine.”

... Impersonalize God, impersonalize evil. Know the nature of I as universal Being, universal Life. Do not allow the veil to be put back
on that personalizes God. In other words, go back to Moses: make no images of God, not even a mental image. Not only don’t make
a wood carving, don’t make an ivory carving or a gold carving, don’t even make a mental image of God, and then you will not be
personalizing God. The minute you have an image of God in your thought you are personalizing, and then you are expecting that
concept to be God; and a concept can’t be God, only I can be God. You see, you cannot have a mental image of I, that’s the one
word that defies you. Try as you will, you cannot make a mental image of I, that’s an impossibility.

This trip has brought to a climax all of the work of this summer ... . See how we’ve been coming up and up to the unveiling. The
unveiling has been the crux, because once it’s been unveiled for you, it will never be veiled for you again. You will never again be able
to go back to making concepts of God or looking for God to do something. Always that smile will come to your lips, and the word I
will come in there, and you will be at peace, you will be at rest. And then “in quiet and in confidence” you will be a beholder of God in
action. You don’t impel it, you don’t empower it, you don’t send it forth: in quiet and in confidence, you become a beholder, watching
    it at work.

For Meditation: "I die hard."  - Joel, Wisdom #56.
For Study: THE MYSTICAL I, Chapter 6.

    SUNDAY, JUNE 4 - 12:30 P.M.

VIRGINIA STEPHENSON: THE 2003 ALBUQUERQUE CLASS
"A Mind Stayed On God," Tape 3, Side 2 (No. 0332)

We can’t accept concepts, that is, pictures and appearances, at face value. We have to consciously recognize, “This is a concept
coming to me, and am I attaching some quality of good or evil to it? If I am, I am contributing to the dichotomy or the discord of the
world. Let me see through the appearance, and let me contribute Light to the world. Let me be a place where illumination enters in.”
So, I look at many things, and the idea comes to me that, “This is such a beautiful concept,” or, “ this is such an ugly concept,” and
then I have to say, “but that is the carnal mind! That’s a carnal mind judgment. Now, Father, tell me what’s here. Show me what’s
really here.” Then be still, and let Consciousness reveal itself. That is a daily, moment-to-moment exercise. ... So, if we can withdraw
all judgment, and say, “Well, you look destructive, but I am not going to judge. I am going to say, ‘Father, this is Your world, this is
a spiritual universe; You’re in control; the government is on Your shoulder: now reveal to me what is.’” Because what is will overcome
the world. It says that in our Wisdoms: “IS alone overcomes the world.”

Loving God with all our soul, really, is where desire comes in, the desire for that mystical union. That is the only right desire, for that
mystical wedding. The soul is the bride, Spirit is the bride groom. For our soul to blossom and to fulfill its spiritual destiny on earth,
to bless mankind, this soul has to be in the sunlight of His love. Think of your soul as a rose, a beautiful rose, and when you
meditate, you lift up your gaze to the I for that Light to shine. The sunshine of His love, to blossom you, to open you, open the
understanding heart, to illumine the mind, to recognize That which is always omnipresent but hidden. And nothing is hidden that will
not be revealed when you face that Light within you.

TUESDAY, JUNE 13 - at UNITY ON THE NORTH SHORE - 7:30 P.M.

GENESIS, Awakening From the Dream, by Virginia Stephenson,
Chapter 6: “The Third Day: Opening of the Soul Center”

Dry land is the symbol for Soul. It is the holy ground upon which we stand, where growth, or spiritual unfoldment, takes place. This
is the holy ground that Moses stood on when God revealed His name as “... I AM THAT I AM.” [Exodus 3:14] It is the same holy
ground that Isaiah stood on when God spoke to him and said, “I am the first,  and I am the last; and beside me there is no God,”
[Isaiah 44:6] thus disclosing the infinite realm of Soul that functions as the law of unfolding  good.
The Soul center must be opened in us before we can experience our oneness with God and with all spiritual being and idea, because
it is in Soul that every spiritual faculty is active and every spiritual idea is embodied. This spiritual center in us is like the bud of a rose,
which only sunlight can open. In meditation we are in His light, and Love is refracted through the crystal loveliness of Soul, revealing
to our mystical awareness the beauty of Holiness. The dry land appears as fertile ground for every attribute of Love to grow in us.

For our spiritual unfoldment it is important for us to understand the facets of God known as Soul and Spirit. Spirit is the invisible
substance, activity, and power of God, while Soul is the purity, the “womb of silence,” through which we experience God and all
spiritual creation. In creative meditation we function in Soul and as Soul. Mary, inspired by the angel of the Lord, said, “... My soul
doth magnify the Lord.” [Luke 1:46] She was praying spiritually and sincerely, opening the way for the Son of God to appear. In this
purity of Soul, the immaculate conception took place through the power of the Spirit. This is the mystical union that awaits us in
meditation. We wait in the holy stillness of Soul so that the spiritual idea of Sonship may unfold in us. “Behold, a virgin shall conceive,
and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel [God-with-us].” [Isaiah 7:14]

The truths that we ponder, called the “living waters,” are now gathered together into an ocean of consciousness. Just as the ocean
supports the smallest to the largest ships, so does Soul-consciousness support the smallest to the greatest spiritual ideas. On the
third day of spiritual unfoldment, a definite movement in consciousness through Soul-awareness is taking place, and the Word of
God is supporting this new expression of creation.

Grass symbolizes both humility and resilience. It is the simplest of forms and yet, when walked upon, it springs back unharmed. It
can grow through the smallest crack in concrete and break it open. When we turn inward in meditation with humility, the seed of God
grows in us, and we are filled with peace and joy. WE discover that this prayerful attitude of humility will gently break through every
barrier that would hide our good, revealing the infinite resources of Soul. Jesus’ humility made him mighty, for in his denial of his
human self, the God-self appeared. “I can of mine own self do nothing [John 5:30] ... the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the
    works. [John 14:10]

JOEL S. GOLDSMITH: THE 1963 LONDON WORK
“Two Major Facets of the Infinite Way,’” Tape 8, Side 2

Unless you do take seriously the nature of error, eventually you are going to get to that place of [the nature of] God and think that
you have found a great power over the evils of this world. Eventually, you will be fooled, because it won’t be there. God is not a
power over the evils of this world. The Hebrews prayed to God to destroy the evils of their world, and they have never succeeded.
Since there has been Christianity, the Christians have been praying to overcome the evils of their world, and they have never
succeed. All the other religions have been praying to overcome all the evils of their world, and they have never been overcome. They
never will be overcome, until we come to the recognition that we have been wasting time fighting evil. If God could fight evil, you
wouldn’t have to pray to God to do it: God would be doing it without you advising him. What God isn’t doing, you better not start
telling him about, for God’s wisdom is infinite: not yours, God’s. Your wisdom is infinite when you have died sufficiently to your
beliefs, to your theories, to your concepts, and in meditation have opened up your consciousness to receive God’s wisdom. Then
    your wisdom is infinite.

Now, we do not have to pray to God to remove our sins, our diseases, our deaths. First, we must recognize, “I in the midst of me is
God; and then, with Isaiah: “Is there any power but Me? I know not any.”
That I in the midst of me is Omnipotence. “Put up thy sword.” Mental sword, physical sword, medical sword; abide in Me. Let Me,
the I, abide in you. “You will bear fruit richly.”
But as you become a witness to the evils of this world, as they turn up in your experience, or your family’s, your neighbor’s, your
nation’s, be sure that in your meditation you cover both of the principles of the Infinite Way. Be very sure that you have opened the
door of your consciousness and admitted the I and acknowledged,
Be not afraid, ... , I am with you. Be not afraid of those out there, I am He. I am here, and I am there. Be not afraid. “I in the
midst of you am mighty. ... I am life eternal. ...  I am the way.” Just rely on I. Fear no danger, for there is no power external to
you. I in the midst of you, an infinite power, the all-power, the only power. Live by Grace, since I am your meat, your wine, your
    water; since I can give to you waters which if you drink, you will never thirst again; since I have meat that the world knows not of;
since I am the resurrection. Please realize, I am the way. I am the way to your peace, I am the way to your abundance, I am the
way to your safety. I am a rock, I am a fortress, I am a high tower. Abide in Me and let me abide in you, and no evil shall come
    nigh thy dwelling place.”

For Meditation: “The footstep I hear in the corridor in the early morning is myself, and so it the song of the thrush and the scent of
the puakenikeni. The sun is my heart, as other teachers have said; the atmosphere is my breath - and this is true for you too, and
for the cushions in this hall.” Robert Aitken

For Study: THE MYSTICAL I, Chapter 6.

    SUNDAY, JUNE 18 - 12:30 P.M.

JOHN STEPHENSON: THE 2005 CHICAGO CLASS
"A Meditation On the Spiritual Dimension," Tape 3, Side 2 (No. 0525)

There is not a “consciousness of God,” there is just God. There is just Consciousness. There is just Spirit; but it is undefined
through the human faculties. It is experienced through the soul-faculty, and this experience of oneness gives us dominion. What it
does, it reveals that the I that I am, individual being, is “hid with Christ in God.” What does that mean? It means that this “I” that I
am that lives this life, when aware of the spiritual dimension, in consciousness unites in oneness with all spiritual form and identity.
The experience of oneness is not on a mental level. The experience of oneness goes beyond thought, reason. It goes beyond
concept, which is right there on the surface. It goes deep into the nature of being, the nature of existence. That existence is
spiritual. All that we perceive existing is but the image; and beyond that image is the reality, and that reality is experience, in
oneness. Now this experience is an activity of I, not an activity of personality, but I. I has no definition. It cannot be described. It
just is I. Now we can go deep into this Presence. The more willing we are to let go of personal identification, to let go of thoughts,
to let go of ideas, to let go of time ...

The presence of God fills all space. There is no place where God does not exist, and there is not “God and.” So this I, as I keep
letting go of concepts, keep letting go of personal sense, this I leads me into the experience of oneness, where I am at once the
center and circumference of all creation. No limits, no bounds.

    TUESDAY, JUNE 27 at 259 SKYLINE DR., CARPENTERSVILLE  - 7:30 P.M.

Class, and Tape: LUELLA OVEREEM: THE 1992 GREEN BAY CLOSED CLASS
"Spiritual Identity As Relationships," Tape 2 Side 2 (Listen To This Tape: http://www.infinite-invisible.net/AudioFilesPage.html )

Until we have the realization of the spiritual nature of body and earth, and everything that’s in it, we do the best we can, humanly. It’
s true that we don’t need to work for a living; but we aren’t supposed to give up our jobs, and sit and do nothing, and wait for the
food to come in through the window! I mean, you have to work with these principles, and when you keep on doing the work that you’
ve been given to do, the job that you have that’s humanly called “earning a living,” we have a different awareness of it as we go
along. We realize that we have our living, and it’s probably going to appear to come through our pay check, our job, but that isn’t
the source of it, and that isn’t what we’re depending on. We’re depending on God within us. All of infinity is within us, but we still
have to do, we have to give, we have to open out a way for this “imprisoned splendor” to manifest. We do it through service. We do
it because we are here to show forth the glory of God. We aren’t doing it to earn a living: that’s just the human interpretation of it.
... Even though you are still going to work and getting a salary, you are going to find things working out more harmoniously and find
that you will never be lacking. Even if you should lose your job, you haven’t lost your source of supply. It’s just an outer form that
will be replaced, “the lost years of the locust,” if you know that

your supply is coming from God within you; but you have to know that.
