EXCERPTS FROM TAPES, FOR STUDY, PRACTICE, AND MEDITATION

TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 1 - at DIVINE LODGE - 7:30 P.M.

JOEL S. GOLDSMITH: THE 1963 INSTRUCTIONS FOR TEACHING THE INFINITE WAY
"God and Prayer," Tape 4, Side 1

So, I went through every synonym for God that I could possibly think of, and each one as I came to it, I declared it to
be a concept and not God. The further I went, the further I realized that no matter what word I used, it was a word in
my mind. So ultimately, I said, "Is a word in my mind God? Is a word in anybody's mind God?" And the answer must
be, "No. Only God is God, and God cannot be finitized into a name or description or analysis: only God IS."

Then came this: there is a word that is not a word in my mind. That word is I. I is not a word in my mind: I is my being;
I is my identity. It is not a word I'm thinking of; it is the thinker, not the thought. Regardless of any thought of God, it
can't be God, because greater than any thought is the thinker. Is there anything greater than the thinker? Isn't the
source of thought the creator of thought? Ah-ha! Then somewhere in the word I lies the secret of God. Now we go
back to Moses, and he says, "I Am that I Am," and we go back to Jesus, and he says, "I am the way, the truth, and
the life, … and I am the bread, and the meat, and the wine, and the water, … and I will never leave thee nor forsake
thee, … and I will be with thee to the end of the world, … and be not afraid, it is I." Why, it's so plain: the secret of the
word God is in the word I!

Well, you know I made a tremendous advance, that day, into the discernment of the secret. But as the years went
on, that word I began to define itself, and I saw that it was really synonymous with Consciousness, because
regardless of what I am, I must be consciousness. That must be the identity of I, is Consciousness. Take
Consciousness away, and is there an I? Take Consciousness away, and is there an awareness? Take
Consciousness away, and is there a form, because all the form there is is really Consciousness formed. If you think
of beauty, is that anything but Consciousness formed as your idea of beauty? If you think of truth, isn't it your
consciousness of truth that you are showing forth to the world? If it is love, isn't it your consciousness of love that
you are showing forth to the world? So that, love, light, truth, these are the forms of Consciousness, and the more
illumined an individual is spiritually, the higher love, truth, and life they are going to give expression to. So,
eventually, my "big word," and alongside the word I, it is the biggest word in the Infinite Way: Consciousness.

For Meditation: "Prayer is the absence of desire in the recognition of IS." – Wisdom#11; and John 17:3

For Study: A MESSAGE FOR THE AGES (1975 LETTERS), Chapter 2.

When angels visit us, we do not hear the rustle of wings, nor feel the feathery touch of the breast of a dove; but we
know their presence by the love they create in our hearts. Oh, may you feel THIS touch, - it is not the clasping of
hands, nor a loved person present; it is more than this: it is a spiritual idea that lights your path! The Psalmist saith:
"He shall give His angels charge over thee." God gives you his spiritual ideas, and in turn, they give you daily
supplies. Never ask for tomorrow: it is enough that divine Love is an ever-present help; and if you wait, never
doubting, you will have all you need every moment. What a glorious inheritance is given to us through the
understanding of omnipresent Love! More we cannot ask: more we do not want: more we cannot have. This sweet
assurance is the "Peace, be still" to all human fears, to suffering of every sort.

Mary Baker Eddy, from MISCELLANEOUS WRITINGS, pp. 306-307

"He is unnamable. He has no human form; for whoever has human form is the creation of another. And he has a
semblance of his own - not like what you have seen or received, but a strange semblance that surpasses all things
and is better than the universe. It looks to every side and sees itself from itself. Since it has no boundary, he is ever
incomprehensible. He is imperishable, since he has no likeness to anything. He is unchanging good. He is faultless.
He is eternal. He is blessed. While he is not known, he ever knows himself. He is immeasurable. He is untraceable.
He is perfect, having no defect. He is imperishably blessed. He is called 'the Father of the Universe.'"

SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 6 - at THE INN OF CHICAGO - 11:00 A.M.

JOEL S. GOLDSMITH: THE 1962 LONDON SPECIAL CLASS
"Spiritual Power, Temporal Nonpower," Tape 1, Side 1

What is the nature of the Me that God created in His own image and likeness? What is the nature of Me, the Son of
God, the Child of God to whom God says, "Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine." Now, He isn't
saying that to my humanhood, because my humanhood shows that I don't have all of God's blessings, or supply, or
health, or harmony; my humanhood doesn't have it, but there is a part of me that has. There is a part of me that
receives God's grace from eternity to eternity, from everlasting to everlasting. Now, "God's love changeth not." The
things of God are forever, forever lasting. What is there about me that is receiving God's grace from everlasting to
everlasting, that has never been without it and will never be without it? Do you see? We are searching deep down
inside of ourselves for the mystery of life: who am I? What am I? Who am I in the image and likeness of God? What
am I in the image and likeness of God? What am I as the Child of God, the offspring of God? What am I as the heir
of God? My humanhood isn't inheriting very much from God! What of me and where of me is the spiritual selfhood
that is heir of God, that lives "not by might, nor by power" but by the Spirit of God that is in me?

Do you see the nature of our searching and what it must be? because in the presence of the dominion that God
gave us, there are no problems. In the presence of the dominion that God gave us, there is nothing of sin to be
overcome, nothing of lack to be overcome, nothing of disease to be overcome, because our spiritual I-dentity
"receiveth the things of God … the wisdom of God, the supply of God, the love of God. "Neither life nor death," Paul
says, "can separate me from the love of God. … What part of me was Paul living when he said, "Neither life nor
death can separate me from the love of God"? and he was talking about that spiritual I-dentity, that Christhood. "I
live, yet not I. Christ liveth my life."

For Meditation: "The Christ does not come down from its high estate to serve or cater to mortals. The Christ is the
Light of the world, and those desirous of its blessings and benefits must leave the husks of material living - must
forsake sense satisfaction - even human rights and other forms of human good - and follow Me. There is no place
where the human and the spiritual blend. Stay where you spiritually are - high in consciousness - and those who
have discovered the nothingness of mortal dreaming - will come to you."

VIRGINIA STEPHENSON: THE 2001 PORTLAND CLASS
"Meditation and Rest," Tape 1, Side 2 (No. 0132)

… All through the ages, there has been this fretfulness and fear of an enemy. There has always been an enemy to
fight, or to protect yourself from. These great lights have never been able to get across that we don't need power:
we don't need mental power or physical power; we only need to enter that rest, and let the Father within do the work.
It wasn't until Jesus that we saw the example of this, that he never used power. He actually never called upon God
for anything … . He thanked God, always, that it was already done. But nobody "got" it. They didn't catch the idea.
When he went through the Crucifixion, he thought, "Well, now they'll see there is no death." The same body was
resurrected that was crucified; there was no death, because he knew there was no power in this world. He didn't take
up the sword, he didn't defend himself: he was showing us the nature of spiritual power. Spiritual power is our ability
to rest in Oneness, unafraid of the appearance world, unfretful, always holding our gaze to the light of I AM, that this
I AM is the only presence and the only power.

Maybe, in this generation, we're "getting it." Maybe we're learning to rest the mind, rest the body, rest the emotions,
lay aside the thought of personal good and personal evil, and realize that the battle is not ours, it's God's.

TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 8 - at UNITY ON THE NORTH SHORE - 7:30 P.M.

THE HEALING CHRIST LOVE, by Virginia Stephenson, Chapter 2: "The Good Wine."

Jesus' response to the three temptations proved that he had completely subordinated his will to God's will and was
ready to demonstrate the power of Love, which functions in the mystical marriage. The mystical marriage is the
coming together of Soul, the bride, and Spirit, the bridegroom. When the mystical union of Spirit and the individual
expression of Soul is consummated, regeneration occurs as an activity of divine Love, and man attains his freedom
and fulfillment as the child of God. The use of the phrase, "the third day," at the beginning of the story of the
marriage in Cana indicates Jesus' readiness for the mystical union. In this marriage experience, Jesus reveals the
attitude and altitude of the Christ-consciousness when the individualized soul is wedded to Spirit.

As we complete our individual experience of reconciliation to God as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, we bring body,
mind, and soul under the reign of this triune Principle. This includes the recognition of body as God's temple, God
being the creative principle, the recognition of mind as an avenue of awareness, receptive and responsive only to
the thoughts of God, and thirdly, the recognition of the purity of soul, which is worthy to be the bride of the Spirit and
is prepared for the marriage feast.

As we practice forgiving ourselves and people we meet who are identifying with the limitations of humanhood, we let
go of human concepts. In place of the demoralized concept or even the good human concept that is being
presented to us, we recognize the Son of God in each person, mentally entertaining only the truth of Being. WE look
right through the appearance and silently, secretly, and sacredly we recognize:

Oh, no, you are not who you think you are. That is not your real Self. I know thee who thou art: Thou art the Christ,
the Son of God, the heir of God, heir to all the heavenly riches, heir to complete spiritual endowment.

As we meditate in this way, acknowledging true spiritual identity, a marvelous change takes place in the order of our
being. The Spirit purifies us to such a degree that we become almost totally unaware of discord in others, because
we are resting in God-consciousness, which is perfect order and perfect peace. Discordant concepts are not an
activity of God and have no law of God to support them and no God-cause. Human concepts, being only mental
projections, are totally without presence or power in the consciousness that realizes the relationship of oneness:
"This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased." [Matthew 3:17]

When we come to this place in our transition from material sense to spiritual sense, we can maintain the inner
peace. We look out at the world with no condemnation but with spiritual discernment that can see through human
appearances and behold the Christ-truth. This is the healing consciousness. The healing Christ love has detached
us from fear and concern for appearances, and we see with and understanding heart, being in the world but not of it.

The story of the marriage at Cana is about the change of consciousness by the Spirit from the letter of truth to the
deeper spiritual understanding of truth until the "water" changes into the wine of inspiration, which is Love in action.
We are making our transition from law to grace, form human justice to divine Love. The stone symbolizes the law
which came by Moses. The intermediate purifying step, the water, is the understanding of the truth of the Word. The
good wine is the spirit of the Word, or the life lived through and as Love, reflecting grace and truth. The mystical
union of soul to Spirit transforms our consciousness, and we partake of "the good wine." "Go to God as an empty
vessel, desiring fulfillment in God's way and measure." [Joel, from the Wisdoms]

JOEL S. GOLDSMITH: THE 1962 LONDON SPECIAL CLASS
"Nature of Spiritual Power," Tape 1, Side 2

Do you not see how insignificant an individual life could be if it could attain complete harmony without consideration
for the rest of mankind? But do you see how great one individual life could be, dedicated to the realization of
Omnipotence, Omniscience, and Omnipresence? … Storms could be made to disappear and not come back again,
because storms are not phenomena of nature as it is scientifically believed: storms are the phenomena of human
consciousness. Where human consciousness is at peace, storms do not appear. You can test this out in your own
home: find your peace within you, and watch how those storms in the home and in the family disappear. It is only
necessary for one individual in a household to find their inner peace to make a change in the entire household.

Eventually, disease will disappear from the face of the earth. So far, in the history of the world, when a disease has
been medically cured, another disease comes along to take its place; sometimes two diseases. The reason is YOU
CANNOT ELIMINATE DISEASE FROM HUMAN CONSCIOUSNESS, BECAUSE HUMAN CONSCIOUSNESS BELIEVES
IN TWO POWERS, AND IT MUST ALWAYS DEMONSTRATE ITS BELIEF. Therefore, as long as it believes in good
and evil, it will have its periods of good and its periods of evil. As long as human consciousness is indulging hates,
jealousies, do you not see that it must manifest some form of disease; and if they cure it in one form, it will break out
in another form. … The healing of disease takes place when consciousness is purified; and this is true individually
and collectively. When you permit your consciousness to come into attunement or at-one-ment, or alignment with
spiritual power, then disease, sin, fear, lack, is eliminated from your consciousness. You can't pray to God to bring
spiritual power to remove your problem while the "cause" of the problem remains, and the cause is always human
consciousness. Therefore, you must LIFT UP your consciousness to the status of the Divine; or, as it is given us in
Scripture, "I, if I be lifted up … ," if you lift up the I, if you lift up your consciousness TO divine Sonship, if you can lift
yourself up and let the spiritual Light touch your consciousness and free you of hates, animosities, fears, jealousies,
you'll find no diseases left; no lack is left, no fear is left. All of our work, then, is really attuning our consciousness to
the Divine, … .

JOHN STEPHENSON: THE 2004 NASHVILLE CLASS
"Snow White Purity," Tape 2, Side 1 (No.0418)

[Speaking about a play production of "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs"] The human being [Seven Dwarfs] is
satisfied. Off to work they go; they whistle while they work; they're just very happy, but they are ignorant: they don't
know anything about how they are manipulated by this world. So, the "Queen of this world" [false sense of "I"] is still
looking at her mirror, thinking that she is going to be the "Top Dog," and the mirror says, "No, Snow White didn't get
eliminated. You still have a rival; you still have this purity of Consciousness out there, and you haven't been able to
kill it." So, she goes and says, "O.K., well, I've got to do something." Suddenly this powerful, elegant Queen turns
into an ugly old witch. She brews up her potion in an apple, and what happens to the innocent soul? They are not
seduced by any of the evil power of this, they are seduced by this beautiful apple, this perfect apple, which goes
right back to Adam and Eve. Snow White takes a bite of the apple, and she falls into this sleep; and this is the sleep
of human consciousness. This is the nature of our soul, while we were just living a human life, sometimes good,
sometimes not, but we're very satisfied with just the way this life is unfolding, until we are "kissed" by Prince
Charming.

Now, Prince Charming, who came in earlier, was the one who set all this going, because it was Prince Charming who
recognized Snow White's beauty in the beginning of the story. So, here's that power of recognition that made the old
Queen really mad, and who said, "Oh, I have to get rid of her. Somebody is recognizing this Soul." So, it is Prince
Charming, which is really the activity of the Christ, coming back into the human scene, finding the purity of
Consciousness [Snow White] laying dormant in the woods in front of the Seven Dwarfs' house. He comes in, kisses
her, and she awakens. There, we have the awakening of consciousness to this spiritual dispensation that the world
is not just the forces of good and evil, but the world has a spiritual dimension to it; and when we awaken to it, we can
live in the world and not be of it.

Now, what I found really interesting was, after the play was over and everybody came out to take their bow, Snow
White and the Prince and all the Dwarfs and everything, the Wicked Witch didn't come out to take a bow: she was
gone. That idea of material concept has no power, it doesn't really exist! So, even in the play, even when they were
taking their bows afterward, material sense was no longer there.

TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 22- at 259 SKYLINE DR., CARPENTERSVILLE - 7:30 P.M.

Class, and Tape: LUELLA OVEREEM: THE 1989 GREEN BAY CLOSED CLASS
"Realization of Spiritual Identity Is Love," Tape 3 Side 2

This is the work that we have to do all the time, is to recognize the Christ; and it is all that giving that comes back to
you as love and companionship and fulfillment, but not if we do it for that purpose. We are doing it because that is
our function, that is what we're here for, to be a transparency for God to fulfill Itself on earth, for human
consciousness to be dissolved. It is working; there's a lot changes taking place in the world, but they aren't outer,
and they aren't what the newspapers or the TV say that they are. Behind that, there's spiritual work going on all over
the world. There is the recognition of spiritual identity, the recognition of God governing. That's our work, too. All this
work that we do is developing our own spiritual discernment; the more we work with it, the more discernment we
have. That's the way you put others first, to recognize their spiritual identity. Just putting them first humanly isn't
going to do anything for them, permanently: it isn't going to be of much help unless there's more to it then that. Our
work is to recognize their spiritual identity. We have to give ourselves enough time and enough attention to live this
Life, so that is what is happening, we are developing our own consciousness. That comes first, because otherwise,
you have nothing to give anybody, whether it is your family or your community or the whole world. That's the one gift
that is really Love; because it's God's love, shining through; it isn't ours, it isn't human.

We have to recognize that everyone has spiritual freedom. They have it, but they don't know it. It is our recognition
of this, our acknowledgement, our realizing it, experiencing it, that brings it through to many people. It has to happen
in consciousness: nothing happens "out here." We don't live unto ourselves. Whatever realization we have is taking
place in the one Consciousness, and therefore, to some degree it touches everybody else; because there is only
one Consciousness, and it is the consciousness of everybody who's ever lived on the earth, or is now walking
around. It's one Consciousness.

For Meditation: "When you know that you are not in the body and that the body is not you, you realize that the
pains or diseases of the body are not you either, and when you stop identifying with these ills, they disappear from
your experience. When you impersonalize it, it goes out of your experience, and out of your body, because it was
never in your body. The body can show forth only the consciousness that is the substance of it. Consciousness is
God, and God is the substance of body and the law unto it. What you thought was body being sick was just a false
belief about body."

In speaking to you, as you will soon see, it is necessary that first of all we unite in the one Mind, in the one Spirit,
and with one language. In the experience of the Tower of Babel, the work came to naught because the people
were not of one mind, and they did not have one language. Through scripture, we know that in the kingdom of
God, "there is neither Jew nor Greek." In our modern language that would really mean that there is neither an
American nor an Englishman nor an Australian nor a Frenchman, that we are actually ONE in Christ Jesus, ONE in
God, and we should speak, and in our Work must speak, one language; and that, the language of Spirit. It is true
that as human beings we are divided. As human being there is a "my land and your land," and a "my religion and
your religion." This is not true in the kingdom of God, where there is really no religion: God is the Father, and all
men and all women are brothers and sisters, and therefore, the only religion is the knowledge of God, the
realization of God, and the LIVING in God. Religion, then, is not a church matter but a living matter one’s
relationship with God; and that of course then makes us all of the one and only religion there is, the spiritual
relationship with God.

The human race is that "branch of the tree that is cut off," and it does not have the grace of God. It has to
struggle for its livelihood, it has to strive and struggle for its health, it has to work and work and work for its safety
and security, and its peace of mind is almost nonexistent. Fear grips humanity, because fear implanted in the mind
of man has made man forget that God is the life of man, and it cannot be destroyed, not even by a bomb. Not
even the will of tyrants can destroy the life of man, for God is the life of man. But you see, this mesmeric
suggestion out of the world makes men think that they have a life of their own, and it can be lost. Humanly, that’s
true. Spiritually, under Christ, it isn’t; and the Master let them take his human life and nail it to the Cross, and then
proved they hadn’t destroyed it, nor had they destroyed his body. Neither can your individual life be destroyed,
nor can your body be destroyed, by the will of man nor by the deed of man.

VIRGINIA STEPHENSON: THE 2001 PORTLAND CLASS

"The Name of God," Tape 1, Side 1 (No. 0132)

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear though the earth be
removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; though the waters thereof roar and be
troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. There is a river of God, the streams whereof shall
make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the Most High. God is in the midst of her, she shall
not be moved. God shall help her, and that right early. The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved; he utters
his voice, and the earth melteth. The Lord of hosts is with us; God is our refuge. Come, behold the works of the
Lord, what desolations he hath made in the earth. He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth. He
breaketh the bow and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth; he burneth the chariots in the fire! "Be still, and
know that I am God. I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth!" The Lord of hosts is with
us. He is our refuge. – Psalm 46

It’s a beautiful Psalm, isn’t it? What is this "city of God?" That’s Divine Consciousness. You are the city of God.
The Consciousness that you are and I am is the city of God, and there is a river, the streams whereof shall make
glad that city of God, the holy place. What is the river of life? Jesus told the woman at the well, "If you knew who I
am, I could give waters that would never run dry." Remember that? Those waters flow through us as inspiration,
refreshment, renewal, strength, beauty, harmony, and we must recognize it. How do we recognize it? "Be still, and
know that I am God." There is just one Presence and one Power, isn’t there? One Presence that is Omnipresence,
one Power that is omnipotent and omniscient; and that One is Consciousness. The Consciousness of you, and
the Consciousness of me, and all of us bear that name of our Father: we all say, "I AM. I exist. I am conscious. …"

JOEL S. GOLDSMITH: THE 1963 INSTRUCTIONS FOR TEACHING THE INFINITE WAY

"The Need of Religion In Our Lives," Tape 6, Side 2

The Infinite Way is playing a major role in revealing the impersonal nature of God, because until the world stops
believing that Krishna is God, or Buddha is God, or Jesus is God, and begins to realize that GOD is God: east,
west, north, and south, White and Black, Jew and Gentile, God alone is God. God HAS no religion, and God HAS
no personality, but God, in His infinity, is manifest in the individuality of man. Therefore, whether he is Jew or
Gentile, he is the same God-man. Whether he is Buddhist or atheist, he is the same God-man. Regardless of what
he thinks himself to be, he is the same God-man; for God existed "before Abraham was," and God will exist "to the
end of the world." With or without religion, GOD IS. God manifests as man, as the life, mind, and soul of individual
being; and in this recognition of the impersonal nature of God, fear must disappear, because there’s no absence
of the universal, impersonal God, and God is the God of the just and the unjust. "God is no respecter of persons:"
God is the God of the saint and the sinner. This destroys fear and enables us to rest and relax in the assurance,

"My peace is at hand; My grace is at hand: it doesn’t have to be sent for; it doesn’t have to be earned or deserved
or paid for. Without money, without price; in life or in death: neither nor death can separate me from that God.
Purity can’t give it to me, and sin cannot take it away from me, because the only thing that makes it available is
awareness. I can have that awareness in the deepest sin and become pure, but if I don’t have that awareness in
the greatest purity, I have no God. Awareness: ‘Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.’

THE HEALING CHRIST LOVE, by Virginia Stephenson, Chapter 1: "In the Beginning."

The Healing Christ Love is our constant companion, teaching us of love through these healings from the Gospel
of John. The interpretations of these stories are the result of my continuing unfoldment of mystical awareness as I
have worked with students from around the world who were seeking spiritual solutions to their problems.

Whatever happens or doesn't happen in meditation, remember that you are keeping company with the healing
Christ, and Love is in charge, not you. If something is unclear, if there is unrest, review the text. In this way, too,
you are being led to greater awareness by the healing Christ love.

The Book of John portrays the mystical experience of Jesus, in which the Son of man is revealed as the Son of
God, the inner Reality governing the outer form. At one level of understanding, the message in John gives a literal
account of Jesus' healing ministry, but at another level, the message reveals the mystical awareness and the
spiritual perception needed to discern the fabric of material sense as transitory and the realm of Soul as eternal.
As we study these mystical truths, there is an expansion of our awareness and a movement from time/space
reference and personality to the hereness and nowness of Consciousness.

Our starting point is the divine principle as stated in the first chapter of John: "In the beginning was the Word, and
the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God." In the beginning - in
principle - God expressed Its life, Its intelligence, Its Self, which is I AM. God spoke, and the Word went forth into
expression, unfolding, disclosing, and revealing Itself in Its divine nature and character. This Word was with God,
and this Word was God; this Word is God.

When God speaks, it is done. The Word is made manifest. All creation is embodied in this divine Consciousness,
which is aware of Itself as I AM. Since Consciousness is incorporeal, all creation is incorporeal. The Word, I AM, is
consciously aware of Its own infinite, incorporeal Being, Its own Self, which is your Self and my Self, the one Self.

This divine principle must always be our starting point in our contemplative meditations. Our reason for meditating
is to transcend the realm of words and thoughts and all imagery so that we consciously realize our oneness with
Spirit and our incorporeality, bringing ourselves under God's government. Each day we must consciously
remember the spiritual nature and character of the I AM THAT I AM. God spoke the Word and I appeared, not of
my own or another's volition, but I was sent forth by the Father as a living witness that Life is good, for God is
good.

For Meditation: "When we surrender to the divinity of our true being in meditation, the activity and the vitality of the
Holy Spirit purifies us mentally and physically, and the darkness flees before the Light. Thus, a place is prepared
for the healing Christ love to live in and as our consciousness." - Virginia, pg. 9

JOEL S. GOLDSMITH: THE 1956 FIRST STEINWAY HALL PRACTITIONER CLASS

"The Result of Law Overcome Through Grace/ Old Testament, New Testament, the Law, Grace, and Truth," Tape
4, Sides 1& 2

You will find, in your experience, that you will live and demonstrate certain principles that you cannot explain to
anyone. At that particular time, many were coming to me because of lack or limitation in one form or another, and
my wife said, "Why don’t you tell your students what you have learned about supply? You don’t have any trouble
with supply; you don’t have any problem. Why don’t you explain to them what you have discovered?" And I said,
"Because I couldn’t explain it to myself! I really don’t know how to talk about supply, or tell others how to get
supply: I only know what the principle is; but there is no way to impart that principle, at least I haven’t found a way."
Then, it was shortly after that, while thinking on the subject, of wanting, really, to explain what supply is, that the
realization came which is explained in the example of the orange tree: that supply isn’t visible. I suppose that was
the thing that I had seen and felt was that money wasn’t supply. The mistake that we all have made is trying to get
money, thinking that the money was our supply, not realizing that you spent it, and you had no more. You were still
in the position of needing more money or more supply. But when the realization dawned, as it had many, many
years before that, that supply is in the word I. I is supply. I embody supply. Supply isn’t external to me. The supply
is within me. It unfolds outwardly as I need it. … I know this now, through experience, that if I had no dollars, I
would have just as much supply. I would eat at eating time, and sleep at sleeping time, and be clothed at clothing
time. I know that, because I have experienced it now, that money isn’t supply. Whatever supply is, it’s an invisible
thing that is embodied within me.

************

So it is: there isn’t any object in this world that has an evil power, once you realize that all the power there is isn’t
outside, in effect, it’s within you! It isn’t even in me, it’s in you. If you would only know that it is YOU that controls
this hand, you’d have no fear of it; and you do control it, because I control it, and I is you. There is only one I,
there’s only one Selfhood. So, it isn’t Joel that controls the hand, it’s I. You have no reason to fear it. So it is with
every object in this world, I control it. I control everything, whether I appears as Joel or I appears as you. The
power of control, of dominion, is within Me. "Is there any other God beside Me?" Isaiah says, "I know not any." That
"Me" is you, whether it’s me or whether it’s you. There is only one Selfhood. Now, when you see a fist out here, or
a dagger, or a gun, and you say, "But I control it!" Now what do you think can happen? Don’t you see that? It’s all
a question of identity, it’s all a question of withdrawing power from "out here." … That’s how you overcome fear: by
withdrawing all power from the objective world and placing all power in the word I. I am the light of the world, and in
Me there is no darkness at all. Nothing from without can enter that defileth or maketh a lie. Not even a bomb!
Nothing from without can defileth or maketh a lie, because the control, the government, the jurisdiction, is not in
the effect, it’s in I, and I is God.

For Meditation: "Truth is infinite; therefore, Truth cannot be known in finite terms."

JOHN STEPHENSON: THE 2004 NASHVILLE CLASS

"Divine Law and Healing," Tape 1, Side 2 (No.0417)

Now, we’ve already gone through our releasing God as a rewarding and punishing entity. We’ve accepted the
great masters of the past revealing that God is all good; everything in creation is good; nothing that was created
exists unless it is created from God. So, if we accept that, and we are looking at this world then from this spiritual
standpoint, we realize that the discords, the inharmonies, the lacks, the oppression that we witness, they can’t
have their basis in God. Now, if they don’t have their basis in God, the next question that comes into mind is,
"Well, where do they come from?" And that question is one of the most subtle little tempters. If you were going to
say, "The Devil tempted me, whispered in my ear," whispers into "Eve’s ear," that receptive consciousness, it is,
"Well, where did this come from? How did man fall? Why did he eat the apple?" And if you go there, you might as
well kiss goodbye many months or years of searching and going nowhere. You’re in a maze that is unanswerable,
because that is a question that comes from a hypnotized point of view: "If we’re living in a dualistic world, there
must be a reason why there is this appearance of evil." The only reason is THE ACCEPTANCE OF A BELIEF
THAT THERE IS A POWER OUTSIDE OF GOD. The minute we realize that there isn’t a power outside of God, we
are detached from accepting that as power.

Class, and Tape: LUELLA OVEREEM: THE 1989 GREEN BAY CLOSED CLASS

"The Silence Is Made Flesh," Tape 3 Side 1

We have to release any sense of having anything of our own, separate and apart from God. Whether it is a body,
a business, a talent, gift of any kind, it’s not ours, it’s God expressing as us. It’s all God; and as soon as we think
of it as being "my" thing, "my" ability, or "my" something, we’ve lost it, we’ve cut ourselves right off from it, we’ve cut
it off at the roots. We have to know that it’s God that is our supply of everything there is, it’s God’s life. "The earth
is the Lord’s and the fulness thereof …," and it’s that realization – you start off acknowledging, recognizing it, and
then realizing it in meditation, and when you know it, since it’s all God’s, and God is all there is to us, therefore,
"Son, all that I have is thine." So we have everything that God has, if we can accept it and not look "out here."
Then we come to that other one, the final realization, which is I AM. "I AM it. That’s what I am. That constitutes my
being, and I AM the supply; I AM the health; I AM the one power. But it’s not a human "I," it’s I, God, within us,
which is no longer separated. And that’s the goal, to attain that realization of spiritual identity.

Joel says, "Since we have all of infinity, right within us, why does it seem that so many people are limited? [See
LIVING BETWEEN TWO WORLDS, Chapter 11] And the only answer is that they have a material sense of supply;
they’re thinking that supply is something out here, formed. It isn’t out here, that’s our concept of it, our picture of it;
but the real THING, the supply, the essence of it is God, and it’s all within us. So there really is no such thing as
lack, or abundance, there’s all just Infinity.

For Meditation: "’You do not have to wait for Grace. You can move out from under the law this minute. Just
relinquish your desires and you are under Grace.’ Then Grace is living Its life as you, and you are a witness, a
beholder of God living your life."

"But in order to witness God, you have to be there where God is. A beholder is an ‘eyewitness.’ An eyewitness has
to be on the scene of what he is witnessing. You can’t behold God until you get to where God is, that is, you have
to experience God."

************

If our religion is to fulfill its function in our lives, it must help us perceive that God is not to be used to fulfill human
desires, that God has already done Its work, that this IS now an all-spiritual universe, and we have embodied
within us all we can ever have need of. As with automobiles, you have no options: Infinity is standard equipment.
Your only ‘option’ is whether or not you will acknowledge and enjoy what you have been given."

"In order to experience the infinite good we have, we must stop desiring the human sense of good. ‘We must stop
thinking [of fulfillment] in terms of health, wealth, happiness, peace of mind, or even peace on earth."

************

"Five is not the truth about two times two, but it is the truth about something. Similarly, karmic law is not the truth
about God and individual being, but it is the truth about the concept-man, the shadow-man, the human being. Sin,
disease, lack, death, weakness, all these are the truth about the man of earth. It is true that I of myself, my human
sense of self, can do nothing. The human being, the man under karmic law can do nothing; he is on his way to
death, because there is no real law to sustain him."

"But karmic law is not the truth about spiritual man who has his being in God. It is not the truth about God, nor
about this spiritual universe. We are not man whose breath is in his nostrils. That is not our identity. We can be
under Grace the very moment we drop all those false beliefs, the very moment we stop desiring human good. In
that moment we are under Grace."
